Analisa: Mengapa Gol Nani Sah?

Mari kita telaah lebih lanjut gol kontroversial Nani pada pertandingan United vs Spurs yang lalu dan mengapa gol tersebut sah adanya.

Kejadian bermula dari aksi individu Nani menerobos masuk kotak penalti. Ia terjatuh setelah dilanggar Alan Hutton dan secara refleks Nani menggenggam bola dengan tangannya padahal wasit Mark Clattenburg tidak meniup peluit dan pertandingan terus berjalan. Kiper Tottenham Hotspur, Heurelho Gomes menganggap bahwa seharusnya timnya mendapat tendangan bebas karena Nani memegang bola. Ini adalah asumsi yang keliru dari Gomes karena wasit tidak pernah memberikan tendangan bebas.

Gomes lalu membawa bola dengan tangannya 10 yard ke depan lalu berargumen dengan wasit apakah ia mendapat tendangan bebas atau tidak.
